Annual Update
Journal Entry: Mon Jan 29, 2007, 12:01 AM
So it was one year ago today that I complained about the inability to sleep. Now here I sit, at 12:45 AM with no possibility of being asleep in the next ten minutes, similarly typing about how I can't sleep.
A lot has happened over the last year, I'll try to summarize it month by month:
January-March:
April: Diagnosed with Cancer, Began Treatment for Cancer
May: Drove from VA to SD on Terminal Leave
June: Got out of the Military, Anthrocon, Involved in First One Night Stand (Not by choice)
July: "Cured" of Cancer (Quick, huh? Caught it early, carved it out.)
August: Began College, Began Dating
September-November: Uneventful College Life
December: Got Dumped, Christmas, Got Grades from College: Not good
January: Resumed College.
It really doesn't seem like a whole lot when you write it that way, but if I were to flesh it out it is a heck of a lot more. My life would make for an interesting TV show. Not that I'd ever want that sort of thing, it would be horrid. I think I'm going to be single for a while. By choice. I don't like the whole attachment thing, although I like having someone. It's strange. I don't want a screw-buddy or anything, but I want someone to share a bed with. I don't like sleeping alone. I like freedom but want companionship. I'm weird like that. To think none of this would have happened if she were still alive.
And there I go depressing myself again. Ah well. Good to be back on DA after a while. So much new art it took a week or so to look at it all. As soon as I get my government check (Which is months late, gotta love that) I'll be commissioning works.
Well, talk to everyone soon about that. If anyone still reads my rants, please drop a comment by. It makes me feel validated and loved, even if I don't even know you.
So much in life I've done, but so little I want to remember.
Every happy memory has pain attached... it's a sad existence.
